Setting eggs 1-18-12. I need some buddies to keep me company.

I think I have a pip!!!!!!
It's so hard to tell though, and i've got my neck craned but it's at such an awkward spot!

Broody hen has had 1 hatch, one die mid hatch and 4 pipping out of 12, out of the 35 in the bator set at the same time 2 have pipped and no rocking, cheeping or movement from any of them, sort of panicking that something has gone wrong!! Even the pipped ones haven't moved at all in 4 hours!!! I hope something comes out or there will be a lot of tears! (this is my first go with the incubator!) any idea what might be going on? Hopefully there will be more actiobenefits I wake up in the morning!!!

Thanks, I have 8 chicks outside and more pipping in the incubator but nothing hatched yet, can't wait to get home from work tonight and check (Ive not even left for work yet though!)

I guess it will be a long dat at work. But, it sound like progress is being made.its lockdown day for me.

Day 17 !!
Tomorrow we go into lockdown. We candled at day14 and out of the 23 eggs we set, we were down to 10. The 13 weren't fertile
Today we candled and took 4 more out of the incubator. One wasn't fertile, and the other 3 had stopped growing and were pretty slimy decomposing chicks smaller than a dime.
We did not see any movement in the 6 remaining eggs; 4 were filled up except for the air sack and 2 look about 3/4 full.
The temperature and humidity have been pretty constant- only a few spikes up to 102.5 early on, and never below 99

We picked up 4 pullet chicks to hedge our options and are anxious to see what happens this weekend. I'm nervous- I don't want to lose any more!
I was so looking forward to some pretty blue laced Wyandottes...
