Setting eggs 12/22... Day after end of the world Hatch a long :-) Anyone else hatching?

Getting some shipped eggs in 12/21. Assuming the world is still in tact on 12/22 I'm gonna set them. I have a Hova Bator Genesis. I haven't hatched in a couple of months. Definitely time to start hatching for spring. I hope I get some joining!

I've got 4 of my own to see if my rooster is doing his job. Then I ordered 10 Swedish flower hen eggs (she sent 24!), 15 cuckoo Marans, and I ordered Easter eggers (but they have yet to arrive, which prolly means they're smashed at the post office somewhere).

What are you setting?

Set 30 BCM eggs 12/22/12. Incubator is in an unheated shop. Temps have fluctuated some. Hope I get a good hatch. My last hatch was 82% (68/83) black sex links.

good luck on your hatch. The 4 that I set that were from my girls, weren't fertilized. although, just in the past 3 days, i've seen my roosters chasing my girls around hopping on their backs. My girls were not too happy about it. I might try and incubate some more of my eggs after this hatch is done.

My EE eggs finally arrived on Christmas Eve (a week late) I went ahead and set them. Believe it or not, they're actually growing!

I candled all my eggs and there were 9 that were clear. Hopefully I'll get a good hatch rate. All these eggs are shipped, so we will see.

I've got 24 eggs in lockdown. 11 Swedish Flower Hens, 9 Cuckoo Marans, and 4 EE (that were a week late, I went ahead and locked them down too but will give them a bit longer to hatch). Didn't know what else to do with them since they were late. Good luck on your hatches. I just found out that we won't be here on hatch day, so here's to hoping I come home to lots of little chickies!!

Locked down 33 BCM yesterday. Incubator is in an unheated shop and the temps haven't been the best. I added a 60 watt bulb last week to keep the temp up during cold nights which did help. I will be surprised if 50% hatch with all the fluctuation. Here's hoping.

Thursday night I came down with the flu! Hoorray!! Not!

When I finally got up the energy to check on the chirping bator I looked and there were 10 little fuzzy butts wanting out!. YAY! I've still got 2 more hatching. This will be my largest hatch yet. I might have to help the other 2 out. They're making a bit of progress, but we'll see where they are at tonight. They've been going at it now for over 24 hours. They're both Swedish Flower hens, so i really want them to make it. Will post pictures as soon as i get some. How's your hatch going?
