Setting eggs May Day 5/1 want to join me?

I just found this post and I have gone into lockdown yesterday. I still have to open to turn some eggs but I will not do that on the day that my other eggs are hatching. I think one day with out then getting turned at a early stage is not going to hurt then. I have 9 barnyard mutt on lockdown and 24 other mixed(have no clue, bought at a auction) that need turning that are due on June 4th. After that I will stop for a time.

I am officially in Lockdown...Locked down 14 chicken eggs (barnyard mixes)....I thought I heard tapping in some of these eggs, could this realy be or am I hearing things??

I also went and picked up my order from our local feed store (2 BLRW, 2 Salmon Favorelle, and 1 Scillian Buttercup) 3 of which I paid for and 2 she gave me free cause the ones I ordered didn't come in, PLUS I got a 10 week old Amerecauna pullet....I still have 2 guinea eggs that go into lockdown next Friday and I just put 4 Amercauna eggs in....I do believe I am good on chickens right now, LOL...


How is everyone else doing????

around this time on my last hatch they were all hatched except for a few which hatched the next day i do not even see a pip which is strange

at 6 pm i will be on day 20 at 6 pm, they were turned by hand, and the temp stayed between 98.5 and 100.5 when they went into lock down they were all moving my son did accidentally open the lid earlier today but only for a few seconds o caught him in the process of opening it did that hurt them

I would wait a couple more days before getting really worried. What is your humidity at now? What has it been for the days 1-18? I would wait until day 21. If nothing still and you aren't hearing anything or seeing any movement you candle and then try the "float" test. Eggs that are alive will move when floating in water. You can find it on You Tube

on days 1 - 18 it was at 40 now it is at 55
