Setting Eggs Oct 7th -- and a Couple of Questions

Setting 7 Olive Egger eggs tonight. Who's with me?

Now that my hatch is done -- 6 chicks from 7 eggs, but one died. (sigh) I'm incubating again. This time I got a bunch of olive egger eggs from newlyweds (8+). She had added 3 extra eggs to the lot for 11. One broke -- no biggie. I've got a 7 egg incubator. So, I have 3 extra eggs.

I have no broody hens, but I do have ducks.

They haven't been laying lately. Other than throw them out, what should I do with them? They can't possibly be viable when I've hatched these out. I was thinking of keeping an eye on quitters and exchanging them. I do have an old hovabator, but I have had such lousy luck with it, I don't think it would work.

And no, you enablers! I'm not buying ANOTHER incubator.

I am! I have some slkie bantam I got from browneyebuttafly, and some sliver laced wydyttes (sp?) for hot2pot. Plus I put in some of my own bantams ans some quail eggs.
