Setting Eggs On March 7, anyone else??

I put 6 red star x barred rock eggs in my homemade incubator at 6:40 p.m. , did anyone else put eggs in today? this is my first time hatching ever, I am SO excited

Great! How many eggs do you have? What Breed are they??

I will be putting in 41. As for breeds, they are all barnyard brats....We raise our chickens for eggs and meat so at this time I don't have a specific breed I am hatching. I need to get another rooster before I can do some of that. But these girls have been laying really well for us so I figured I needed some more....!!

I put my eggs in at 1:30 PM today..has been the longest 7 hours!!! I have a long ways to go LOL..

This is my very first solo hatching in a incubator made myself..so far the temp has remained stable but humidity is all over the place.

Good luck CrazyChickens! Humidity is tough; for me it always seems to be more/orless than I really want it to be. Congratulations on making your own incubator; I hope it works out well!

Just set 30 barred rock and 6 Delaware. This is my first try with shipped eggs so we will see how it goes. Good luck and happy hatching all!
