Setting Eggs On March 7, anyone else??

I plan to candle and mark the air cells on Wed the 14th. Will let everyone know how things are developing!

Candling my eggs on day 7 ( 6 eggs, have a day staggered hatched) in a couple hours, then moving them to a new incubator, my temps have been ranging from 93 in the morning to 102.8 at night, i am almost done a cabinet style one that is built with 1 inch thick solid wood, should be able to keep the temps inside the same now

Anyone candle yet? I'm going to do mine today.

I have some of my own that were set on Feb 28th and 20 out of 20 are moving and kicking like champs! On the 7th I set some shipped eggs. I candled last night and threw out 16 with blood rings. I had a sever temp spike (new bator) that killed those. I still have 18 barred rock that I either cannot tell or I think I can see something. 4 out of my 6 Delaware eggs good. After this hatch is done I am going to need to get more barred rock and Delawares going...with all the blood rings I had this hatch probably would have turned out ok if it weren't for a temp spike up to 109 for 6 hours!

hi guys i want to join trun a five gallon five tank into an incubator have 12 quail eggs 1 cochin x d'unccle cross 1 unkonw egg 3 dark wheaten amercan 2 big double yolkers that rir laid in the broody hen nest my broody die so i put all the eggs in a five gallon fistank will upload pics my rir just stared laying agin this season that is y i think there double yolks cuz they look huge

Good luck, maybe Twins will be in your future, but from what I hear it is a real headache. Some say you are just better off eating the doubles

Candled all 18 eggs today, the 6 i lettered A-F were in a cold room for about 8 hours before i set them, i am not sure if they are going to hatch, the dark part where the embryo should be is very small, they are on day 7 ( my light isn't very bright, so i can only see a dark spot where the chick and veins should be), but all 12 of my eggs on day 6 are growing very well and i already have a favorite, egg #4 i thought that it looked kind of funny before i set it, but now it seems to be doing very well. YAY!! Anyone else candled yet??
