Setting eggs on New Years Day

That's right! The 3rd Annual NYD Hatch is not even over yet and more eggs are going in the bator. Anyone else certifiable or am I out on this limb all by myself?

Two turkey eggs are ready to go in, and I'll be tossing in the silkie eggs as soon as the postman delivers them.

This is my first attempt at hatching eggs. I set 12 eggs on 01/01/2012 at 5:00 pm.

I have a Columbian Wyandotte that was 8 months old and she sat on 4 eggs and
had a 100% hatch rate. I’ll be happy if my homemade incubator does half as well.

Day 11 for the eggs and they all look like this one. Not to sure if that's a good thing or not.
They don't have the rotten egg smell to them; that's good.
Picture isn't the best but if they hatch I'll post some clear photos of the chicks.

Those are ready to hatch.

I actually had the same thing. I set on 12/31 and my first chick hatched sometime overnight last night.I wasn't expecting any until at least tomorrow.
