A.T. Hagan :

Forgot to post the Kinder Major candled her eggs last Wednesday. We set seventeen, two were clear, one is maybe going to be a blood ring but we're not certain yet, the rest were developing. We'll candle again tomorrow night. Still looking good for a hatch on the 16th or 17th.

The Kinder Major candled her eggs again tonight before moving them into the hatching trays. Fourteen eggs showing development and movement. One was either clear or failed very early on which was probably the one we weren't certain of that last time. So far, so good.

Any babies yet? I'm still waiting as today is supposed to be the day but I have't heard a chirp or seen a
pip yet.

How did the trip turn out Belinda's Funny Farm? I think we started the same day and I woke up to 1 pip and another around 11:00 and now I hear chirps every once in a while. That's 2 out of 3 so far, I'm still waiting for the 3rd to pip. Good Luck with yours and it should be close.

The trip went good but no activity from the eggs yet. I will be home in about an hour so they won't have to travel anymore. I am so hoping I didn't hurt them by taking them with me! Good luck with yours and post photos when they arrive!

Chicks are here! Four healthy chicks so far and 2 more pipped! Funny thing is, I take them on vacation with me and nothing happens. One hour after we get home I have my first chick.......

Guess they wanted to born on the farm not in a vehicle...... Will post photos soon!

How's everyone else doing?

2 out of 3 have hatched and the 3rd finally pipped this morning, I'll post pics later. I'm glad yours hatched considering the trip they've been on!!!

Came home from the county council meeting last night to find the first pip in the Kinder Major's Silkie eggs. When I got up at 5:30 this morning the first one was already out. Interestingly enough it wasn't the one that had pipped last night. I expect we'll have a few more by tonight and all of the rest by tomorrow night. She is stoked!
