whoowhoo 20 days to go. check temp check humidity check temp check humidity have been up and down the steps 800 times I think I'm loosing weight LOL

What kind of incubator are you using? Don't worry about the humidity too much the first 18 days. When you candle on 7 and 14 use the air cells to judge whether you have too much humidity or too little. If the aircells are too small then decrease your humidity. If they are too big then increase it. Humidity is most important when you go into lockdown. You want that aircell to have just enough moisture to keep it moist. If there is too much humidity and moisture collects in the aircell ,when the chick pips through the internal membrane it meets a rush of water and can drown. On the other hand if there is not enough moisture the membrane starts to dry out once the chick pips and it can actually shrink wrap the chick and suffocate.

I just got word from the breeder I'm getting my eggs that he was out of town cause of family emergency and will be shipping them today or Monday.....sigh He was going to send them off on Monday or Tuesday this week. sigh..........

If he shipped them by Priority mail today then there is a chance you will have them Saturday. Where are they coming from?

Someone said that MyPetChicken does not actually send the chicks. They have contracts with people who ship them out inthe name of MyPetChicken. You may want to read this thread : Diary & Notes
I believe she ordered her eggs from My Pet Chicken too.
