Setting Eggs Sept. 24th-Oct. 4th-Last Hatch of the Year. Anyone care to join me?

Good luck to everyone !
This time around I am incubating at 99.5 f, trying to see for sure if this gives me more pullets or not, had a hatch last fall that was incubated at 99.5f instead of 100.5, that I got mostly pullets from, may have been a fluke, hatch day is 10/16/12 for me.
I hatched 6 eggs in my Brinsea Eco 20 and the temp was at 99.5 the whole time, I got 4 boys and 2 girls!

Does anyone know what it means when you have 2 dots but only 1 veining maze? I don't know what else to call it. I have 2 dots in one of my Silkies eggs (only 2 of them have life in them for the Silkies). This egg looks to be in good shape and everything is progressing according to the candling sources here and on other sites. The only difference is that I seem to have 2 dots and 1 maze of veining that joins the dots?

One 'dot' is on one side of the egg and the other dot is on the other and the veins are sort of running between the both of them. Is this twins or is this just some weird random dot in my egg?

I'll try to get a picture of it when it gets dark tonight.

This is going to be fun!!! I just ordered 18+ eggs from Catdance Silkies. They are shipping today from Washington and I should have them Wednesday. Looks like Lakebird and I will be setting a new batch on the same day. What I find amazing is that my eggs are coming from Washington and yours are going to Washington.

A picture would be great.

Oh my gosh..nevermind, I'm clearly an airhead!! I asked my husband about it a short bit ago when he was home for lunch. He went in the bathroom (no windows in there) with the egg and closed both doors. He came back out laughing his butt off at me and I was like what!? He said "There's only one embyro in there honey, it moves when you move it, so if you're moving the egg to look around in there, it moves with you - probably made you think there was another one."

Conclusion: Only 1 chick in there and it's probably not going to be in there much longer (I didn't know they moved around when you moved the egg) - I probably scrambled the poor thing to death moving the egg around to look inside.

I'm new, cut me some slack please. I'm learning as I go.

If it makes you feel any better, I am sure I killed most of my first group of hatching eggs. I hatched 5 out of 30 eggs first time around. My 2nd hatch rate went up to 75%. With each hatch you will learn more and more about what works best for you and your environment. Enjoy the experience and learn from it.
