Setting Eggs Sept. 24th-Oct. 4th-Last Hatch of the Year. Anyone care to join me?

OMG- Exactly! I am sitting here thinking --what if, did I, should I have. . . And I can't go back and change anything. These are not my eggs and I really have no idea what to expect for a good hatch rate.
Plus this humidity issue makes me nuts.
I have only hatched in the incubator once before and this time my humidity was a little lower but steady for the past few weeks. I put a washcloth in tonight because someone here suggested it, last time I used a sponge. I got the turner out and I am waiting to see where the humidity gets to from what I just did.
Never sure what is right because there seems to be so many people who all swear to different ways of hatching.
Everyone has a different method that works for them. It depends on where you live but you could use your method of hatching and your neighbor could do it the same exact way and totally fail. With each hatch you do you learn something new and you use that knowledge for your next hatch.

Well I very pleased to learn I am not the only one going crazy on LOCKDOWN

This is plum nuts but makes me feel better Im not the only one going cuckoo!

That's what makes these hatch-a-longs so much fun. Sharing the good and the bad with others who are going through the same exact thing as you are.

I think there was someone on here that had the problem of raising their temp? Anyway I just found this:

Rocks Rock
Another helpful tool you can use to help with temperature modulation in the styrofoam incubators is something you may be able to find easy at hand: rocks. Yes, rocks can help you incubate your eggs. I like to add clean, flat rocks to my styrofoam incubator beneath the "floor" of the incubation tray, and within the water reservoir. The rocks absorb and hold heat. Especially when turning your eggs manually, having the rocks in there will help to heat the air up again quickly when you must lift the lid regularly to turn your eggs, because they will serve as low-tech heat sinks. Your eggs won't cool down as much with the addition of rocks used as heat sinks. Make sure they are clean, like everything else that goes into your incubator!

I just got my first ever itty-bitty teeny-tiny little pip about 5 minutes ago. It's the prettiest little chipped thing I've ever seen.

Pip Pip, Hooray!!!
Some of my pips have taken many hours to move along and get the job done...one that pipped before noon yesterday (14+ hours ago) is just now really moving the process along. So encouraging to see that flake lift :)

Thanks :'') I am 100% exhausted and so far that egg has done nothing since the pip (I'm about 100% certain that he/she is fast asleep and taking a long nap from all that hard work!) I just want to go to sleep, quite frankly...but I sleep for about 10 hours and if it hatches a short while after I fall asleep - I don't want it stuck in there for 10 hours (will probably be dry in 4) =/ SO here I sit, half awake. Time to make coffee I guess.
