Expelling it ?didnt even know that could happen ,..,my new thing i learned today!!.
What a beautiful Hen. Pictures of her too please. The baby is a sweety. The chicks out completely! The knock must have frightened it into hatching quickly, it's brothers and sisters are still sitting in their eggs lazy as can be xD
I actually saw about the nail polish method but I was worried about the chemicals too, and I was really worried it might make hatching even harder for the baby!
Hopefully the rest of our eggs hatch. I know there are two dead ones in there; one never developed and the other died around day 12, I think. Just slush and a split air bubble in there. The others are heavy as anything though!
not big enough.lol. i was short on this set. I wanted to hit 80. Now come the work of trying to replace the 40 lost -.-WHOOOHOO BIG TIME setting!!

I was just going to say the same gorgous hen. What is she?
Yes please!!!!! My hubby and I were trying to figure out what type of hen she is!!! Beautiful colouring!!!
Hens like that are invaluable. And I think she's a silver laced wyandotte crossed with a silkie! We got her and her sister at an auction a few years back so we can never be certain, but they seem about the right size for it.
They've been amazing mothers ever since though. They've practically raised our entire flock!
