Today is 2 weeks ! So far I have my 4 eggs in the bator. My eggs are so dark I can't tell much about the chick development. I do have one egg that is lighter and I saw the little chick in there just moving all around! So exciting! Next Monday is our due date. Wondering if the smaller 2 eggs will make it that far.

This next week is going to go by real fast or real slow. The last 3 days will be the worse...lol. Good luck!!!

I did a badddddd thing. I had contacted the lady I bought my 1st Araucana eggs from and said she had 8 fertile eggs that she didn't want to throw out or incubate and would I like to have them. Went this afternoon to get them and she had 12 gorgeous Marans eggs (BC Roo, Blue hens) she was selling. I came home with those too. So 20 more eggs went in just now.

Yes I will but come spring I will have some very nice laying birds...LOL. Actually I am trying to get a few of each breed I have already. I have 2 Araucanas but they are both pullets. I would like to have a Roo for them but only if he is tufted. I have 2 Marans chicks from my last hatch and I believe I have a blue roo and a black pullet. I want a few more of those too...lol.

These were nice large, brown eggs maybe a 4 or 5 on the scale but it is the end of their laying season too. Compared to the last set of eggs I hatched these are much larger. The BC Roo was absolutely stunning and the Blue hens were just as nice. Cannot wait to see what their chickies look like.
