Setting eggs today (7/20), anyone else?

I put some in on Sunday and some more yesterday!

I have:
4 peafowl eggs
3 pheasant eggs
3 call duck eggs
and about 2 1/2 doz. mixed chicken and bantie eggs donated by my mom!

I have a 400 +/- egg incubator ( depends on the kind of eggs!)... so there is still room on the top shelf!

so a question for ya'll this is my first time too. the directions said NOT to open the bator for the first day the eggs are set. BUt it say to turn every couple hours, so which is it??? since i m a day behind everyone here, what did yall do?

I don't know the answer. I have an egg turner. Sorry, I am no help.

I got 3 silkie eggs and 4 buff eggs under my two LIVE incubators.

I will set a few more silkies since everyone seems to be going broody anyway.

This will be the first batch for the kids....FUN!!!

I have a turner also but have heard the same thing. Leaving them alone the first day helps everything stablize. I would start turning them on the morning of day 2.
