Let them rest for tonight and start turning them tomorrow. Try to turn odd numbers each day until day 18 ends. By doing it odd numbers each day they don't spend too much time on the same side each night.
Good luck on your hatch

so... i candled tonight. hee hee, oh me and the kids are so excited. out of 14 eggs, Shipped, 6 are Definitly developing!!! one had a blood ring, and one had a weird dot that moved when i moved the egg. any idea what that is?? 6 out of 14 is good right? two were Completely clear, just like a store bought egg is. (candled one just for comparison) does that mean anything? i know its early to candle, but i was curious. i wont do it again for a whie i promise. (i marked them so i know what is what)

I don't think I'm going to candle my eggs. I'm just going to let Mother Nature take care of business. I did lose one egg to breakage so I cleaned that out of the nest. 13 left... and still just over two weeks to go. I've exercised a lot and am doing more book reading this week just to take my mind off of it.

kagedgoddess, your kids must be having the most fun! If I had kids I definately would be candling too. It's just my personal philosophy to try and let everything be as natural as possible. My husband thinks I'm nuts and my two dogs are loving all of the extra attention

oh we had a great time. i view it as a good science lesson for the kiddies. dd is 10 and she kinda got a good science lesson on babies when i was preggers with her two brothers and little sister, but this is so much better, to see the viens and stuff. my ds is 4 and doesnt quite grasp it yet. (the littlest is 8 mos) he thought the clear eggs must have chicks that "came out and got lost" he wanted us to look for them, lol. he's a little confused.

So my daughter brought home an even nicer flashlight than I had before - of course I had to recandle. I pulled one clear and have 31 developing, then 6 of the EE eggs that although I have a better view - I'm still not sure. I will know more on those 6 in another week when they don't darken up at all. They don't look promising though

I pulled all 12 of my farm eggs - none were fertile (day 6). I also tossed 4 of my 12 shipped EE eggs - 2 for blood rings and 2 were clear (DH bought me a fantastic LED flashlight and I have no trouble seeing into the green eggs). There's one egg that concerns me a bit though, and maybe someone can make a suggestion: the egg is obviously fertile, but is quite porous. Do I keep it or toss it?

Keep it. As long as it's developing it should be fine. I read on another thread that someone else had pourous eggs and they just bumped their humidity up a little bit to account for extra moisture that might get lost. Not sure if that is neccessary or not.
