That was super quick! I saw this chick start to zip and I started videoing and I got the whole thing! I made a clip of the video for you guys to watch if you want. I am thinking of naming her either petunia or magnolia because her moms name is daisy. What do you guys think?

Second baby is here! This one is 3/4 speckled Sussex and 1/4 Easter egger. It’s a cutie!

Adorable! Your hatch is going early! My first pip just hatched but I don’t see any other pips so I think this one is just precocious

First hatched at 5, two more at 8! I haven’t had a hatch go so early like this before - I guess using fresh not shipped eggs makes a difference?

I have four total out of nine hatched now.

I have 7 hatched now out of 15. 3 of those though I believe aren’t alive. I have another zipping as we speak.

I have 5 left to hatch and two are pipped. The two with smaller air cells haven’t pipped yet either and I am definitely concerned.

When I candled then on day 18 they just didn’t look right, and they weren’t as developed as the others, and I didn’t see them move. I left them in just in case, but so far there’s nothing.

Yeah they do sound like quitters. Well give them a couple days to be sure and then you can pull them. My two small cells are both dark Marans eggs and I just can’t see at all what is going on in there.
