setting eggs tonight!! anyone else?

Same for me, minus adding an egg.
That is, assuming they live! I'm having a heck of a time trying to get my incubator temp regulated. All the sudden it just wants to spike! I candled one of the eggs and he is moving around as ever. I just hope they're all ok. I'm so nervous! I did not come this far for all my chicks to die from a temp spike!

i'm hoping that the remaining eggs that i have all hatch. i really need my shipped ones to hatch (all of them) as i only got 8 and lost 2 of them so far.

they are d'uccle and a color in the making very pretty and these are the most expensive eggs i have ever bought

I just realized I when I turned the dial to turn the temp down I TURNED IT THE WRONG *censored* WAY!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to kill these chicks I just know it. I'm not going to hatch any of them. They are all doing to die and I'm going to be a huge failure and get banned from BYC because I'll never stop ranting and raving and crying and moaning about it and nobody will ever want to to talk to me again!

It's OK, LaynaDon. You caught your temperature problem in a short time (right?) BTW-I'll still talk to you even if the hatch fails...but I'm sure it'll be fine.

I candled again tonight and now I can only say for sure 6 are moving and developing. I now think 3 are 'clear'. And I now have 6 questionables.

i'm sure that they will be fine just dont give up on them once their hatch date gets here if they dont hatch that day give them at least 4-5 extra days

here's some info on the d'uccles to see the ones i have in the incubator i would have to find the theard on the d'uccle forum. the color is more of a "calico" coloration

Yes, it was only high for 30 or 45 minutes. I'm glad to hear you would still talk to me. I just had to rant for a moment. The kids are asleep so I couldn't yell out loud... At least I think I didn't. I'm not really sure.


I'm glad to hear about your developing eggs. I have a clear. I don't want to throw it out yet, but I probably should. I love seeing them move! The one that I have been candling most takes up almost all of the shell now! If he moves right I can tell he's already got wings and a beak! Obviously not fully formed yet but I can tell what they are.

If that little guy doesn't make it, I'll cry. No doubt about it.
