setting eggs tonight!! anyone else?

This is my second attempt at incubating. I set 31 mystery eggs from Banjoejoe last night. Most are bantam eggs. They are so small its hard to believe a chick will come out of them. Wow your hatch rate was incredible! I have the same incubator but without the turner. The chicks were so cute!

Thanks LaynaDon! Good luck with your hatch! I cant wait to see pics of your EE. I have some about 3 weeks old now but they came from Ideal poultry (in case the hatch didn't turn out). We are just starting our flock and I didn't realize how addicting hatching could be. Feb. 11 cant come fast enough!

How was your experience with Ideal? Most of what I've read was bad. I was thinking about ordering from them but then read some reviews...

They claim they are Ameraucana Which we know is not true but I wanted some color in my basket I ordered 25 they sent 26. One was DOA an another had curled toes and splayed legs but I called them and they refunded me the money for the 2 no questions asked. My hubby culled the one because we have two small kids and we didn't want them to have to deal with a loss. They 24 are growing fast and are healthy. So I was happy with Ideal.

At 11:00 last night I set 23 BLRW eggs in a borrowed incubator. I got up every hour to check the temperature, and just turned them for the first time. the water trough was almost empty, so I refilled. The next 21 days are going to go by so slowly!!

Im in!! I have 42 set. 18 mixes and several RIR, a salmon Fav, a few Cochin, a few SS , BSL and 2 astrolorp. whew!!

I got a variety from ideal and have been very happy. Tomorrow is 2 mths and i only lost one so far. I was very pleased with them.

wow! That'll be a lot of chickens even if only half of them hatch! Better safe than sorry I guess. I'm glad to hear your shipment went well. too. Happy hatching!
