setting eggs tonight!! anyone else?

Update on my egg development...I had to throw out a lot of the serama eggs. Started with 22 of them, but only have 7 left. They should be hatching around the 16th. The other incubator's hatch date is the 11th. I'm down to only 1 LF polish, 1 serama, 1 splash bantam cochin, 2 mille fleur bantam cochin, 4 LF ameracauna (1 of which is heavily waxed due to extensive cracking of the shell), and 14 silkies in blue, black, splash, and white. So 22 due to hatch on the 11th, and another 7 due to hatch the 16th. The best part is that ALL 6

of the ancona duck eggs are developing!! Very excited about those! They aren't due to hatch until the 26th, though.

I bought Serama eggs from a certain seller and only 5 out of 18+ are left with what appears to be perfect development so far at day 10.
Seramas are hard to hatch especially mail order eggs.

lockdown wensday about 3ish yey i hope they hatch for me, i have those weird looking "air cell" parts going doin in weird shapes :/ but all are moving and developing just fine. i still wonder what causes it...i know its not an actuall air cell

Here are a couple of pictures of my eggs at Day 10. I keep saying I'll quit candling, but still not sure about a few. With my new "double-light candler" I think I'm seeing veins in my thought-to-be "clear" eggs. They don't smell, so I'm glad I didn't throw anything out earlier.

This is a big baby that showed up nicely. Does the air cell look too big? It is mostly inside the hole, but there seems to be alot of space around the chick?

Here is a thought-to-be "clear" egg. Something is in there.....

Here you can see an eye....

The double light candling is interesting. They show up really well that way. *Hi wittle chickies!* It's hard to see in the "clear" eggs but it looks like veins to me.
Still no hatching from my first three but that's hardly surprising.
I keep telling myself I won't candle until Wednesday but it's taking so much willpower!! I just want to look inside them!

Hey guys, my dad is really sick. He's been steadily getting sicker since Saturday. My mom is taking him to the hospital right now. Keep him in your prayers please.

~ those last 2 dont look to good. one looks like it started to develop but quite and the other really looks like bacteria growth to me. if they were developing they should look like the first one

~ i'm sorry about your dad hopes he gets better

I'm definitely not sure about the middle picture. I could see veins, but no movement, so it might be bacteria growth or a quitter. The last picture (with the eye) has an embryo moving inside. It might be as much as a day or two behind because my incubator has hot and cool spots. This egg was probably in a cool spot and had slower development. I'm trying to keep it under a "hot spot" from now on. I hope it can catch up and hatch with the others.

I didn't want to candle all my eggs...just the one's that I was unsure about. I did do the first one, because I wanted a picture of a viable chick. I'm afraid the chicks will be born blind if I keep shining these bright lights on them.
