setting eggs tonight!! anyone else?

I came home for lunch and had 2 pips, after school (I'm a substitute teacher) I have a total of 3. No zips, 3-4 eggs boppin' w/o pips & still some frantic peeping.....man, I hope they make it! The WORST is thinking they just need more time and then the bator gets quiet. I will not let this happen!!!

Good luck to anyone who decides it's time to help. Here is a great thread detailing how to help if you're not faint at heart! I don't believe in the "if it's not ment to be" mentality, I hand hached a chick last spring who turned into a HUGE rooster, he was pretty & healthy but mean so then he turned into soup. But he would not have made it out if I hadn't helped, the membranes were SO thick & gross.

I don't know about the yolk, but I'd leave it alone and do some thread searching first! Maybe it is just some membrane that will fall off on it's own. If she's strong enough to get out of the egg first, she'll probably be fine!

Yeah, I read and it said she would probably absorb it just fine and to leave it alone. She peeping like crazy! I think she's telling her brothers and sisters to hurry up and hatch! =P Or she might just be telling them to be still so she can climb over them! If they weren't awake, they are now!

I just noticed some blood on the eggs (s)he's crawling over.. There looks to be something red on her bottom. I can't see real well, though. Is blood normal?
