Setting eggs under broody hen?

I have a broody hen and am planning on putting some of tomorrows eggs under her. Are double-yolkers viable? How many should I put under her? She is a pretty big cochin. Thanks

I have 12 EE eggs under my Cochin Bantam she seems to be doing good with them. As for double yolkers chances of them hatching and staying alive are very slim. Good Luck and Happy Hatching.

I've heard you could possibly get twins from a double yolk but you're asking for problems. Birth defects or other problems could occur. I would avoid trying to hatch double yolks.

I have 5 under my bantam broody. 3 large and two bantam.
