Setting Eggs Wed the 6/20/2012 Who's going to join

My Dad surprised me the other day with my Mom's old incubator and 22 turkey eggs! Two of the eggs were cracked, so we are incubating the remaining 20... they are "supposed" to be fertile, but we won't know for sure until we can candle them at day 10. For now, we just keep turning, turning, turning LOL.

I set 10 eggs under 2 broodies and 10 more in a homemade bator yesterday. This is the first time I've hatched eggs and I'm pretty excited!!

Awesome! This is my second attempt. My first try of eight duck eggs went well right up until I had a power failure.. I'm confident this time will be better. 20 days to go!

Glad to see more people joining! Hello!

Well, I finally got the humidity up to 51% by adding wet socks LOL. I would like to keep it between 35-50% until lockdown. If it stays 50% with two socks in it, I will take out one and see what happens.

I also taped 3 out of the 5 vent holes in the lid.

I can't wait for candling day (the 29th will be day 10) and hope we get to see some growing poults!
