setting hens

do not have a rooster, some of our hens have decided it is time to set. therefore our egg production is down. how do we stop them from setting?

I have read that if you put them in a wire cage, no bedding, raise the cage so air can flow under her bottom, (keep feed and water with her) - this sometimes breaks the broodiness.


You can always find some fertile eggs and let the girls hatch some chicks.
