setting incubator. i need help

Setting 1st incubator. It has a turner/fan etc. but do i put eggs point up or point down. help

Hi! I just wanted to add that in this forum there are some great threads on how to make your own incubators, hatch eggs, candle them, etc. Great trouble-shooting stuff like have the humidity at ~30% for Marans eggs, and 45% for all others until lockdown, then up to 60% during hatching. Move to a separate incubator/brooder (we use half a styrofoam cooler with a heat lamp) for actual hatch after internal pipping so the bacteria don't have a chance to grow and affect your later hatches or other chicks still in the egg.

All you ever wanted to learn and then some is here. This was a great board for us when we were just starting out.
