What are you using to candle? I got a small mag light that works O.K.
Quail eggs are so hard to see in for the most part.

that is a bad quick photo usually when the egg sits in you cannot see any lights coming out from around it, and as you can see you can clearly see what is inside the egg

My husband informed me that he hears peeping in the computer room. Thank you, dear, they are not due to hatch until tomorrow . The styrofoam Bator is in the house so the temp will stay stable. Had about 8 new chicks in the cabinet Bator this morning

I have one of those flashlights too. But I'm having a hard time picturing the springs. Maybe I'll tear it apart a little later. As is , the beam is too wide for quail eggs. lol...
