Well, this is it!! I got my eggs from farmin'chick today.. Out of 2 dozen, I lost two in shipping.. There are two with scrambled yolks but i will set them anyway.. I don't have anything to lose! I will post pics tomorrow before i set because i still have to grab a few from my girls also for a total of 36! Anyone want to join me for a hatch date of April 15th??

Eggs are now set! Final count: 12 Americana, 9 Barred Rock x Production red, 8 Delaware, 6 Production red and 1 Buckeye for a total of 36 eggs! The ones that are crossed with Production red should be quite interesting because my pr roo is also mixed with speckled sussex as are my pr girls.. The countdown now begins! Anyone going to hatch with me??

I set 12 ameraucana, 10 blue/black/splach giant cochins, and 12 light Brahamas last night.

I am new to all this but my next set of eggs are coming in the mail any minute now, I will be setting 36 eggs, a mix of Americaunas, Marans, AUSTROLOURPS, WELSUMMERS, Sex links and Barred Rocks. I will have a few of each of these. I have never done anything lke this, I just hatched out my first set of Chicks last week, I usally do ducks from my own stock, but we don't own a rooster my husband don't care for them since the chick pen is not far from the house.lol.

Here is a pic of my first hatched baby chick!! He is too Cute!!
