Setting up a 1602N Hova Bator for the first time...

I have the same one. The thing that I find is the temp constantly drops. I take a washcloth and cover up one of the windows on the top, and that keeps the temp around 100-101. I would let it run for at least 3 days to make sure that the temp stays stable and so does the humidity.

Unfortunately, I don't have three days... I was given 18 10 day old eggs yesterday... Thanks for the advice about the washcloth! Is that dry or wet?

. It takes 2-3 days to make sure it stays accurate. Make sure to keep an eye on it if you want to put them in right away.
