I have about 5 Broody Silkies, that are proving hard to break. I have some eggs hatching tomorrow and am wondering would it be ok to place a chick under each hen to try to break them, my first problem is I only have one enclosed area to house a broody it will hold 5 hens but will they are attack each others chicks or just focus on there own? The other issue is I won't have the chicks for long as they are all sold maybe 3-4 days. will I need to place more than one chick under them?

Silkies are known to be gentile and can raise chicks together. The babies given and taken could very well break a broody if that is your goal. I see no reason to suspect an attack from any of the hens, but always keep an eye on hens and chicks. I would give each at least 2 so each chick has a friend.
