Get a new keyboard?

My work keyboard is missing most of the letters now, and I refuse to get rid of it. I don't look at them.

It is fun though when one of the IT guys has to test something on my computer or set up logging on it - not only is it missing letters, it's a split board, so they are really thrown for a loop. They sit down and stare at it, and then get up and have me sit and type what they tell me to type.

I have a new one here at home....they don't do well if you repeately spill Diet Coke on them. I'd torn the old one down a few times and cleaned it, but it finally gave up the ghost on me. Picked up a split one at Walmart for $15 or so.

Am I the only person who still uses the old tried and true version of the famous "hunt and peck" method?

Oh yeah, my missing letters are O, H, N, and E.

I have a laptop, not a real computer so can't just get a new keyboard. Also I have very large fingers and little teenie keys... makes for very interesting spellings if I DON'T look. I'm also dyslexic and uneducated.... Sometimes even I can't read what I type, but I swear it looked good when I hit "submit".

I'm on the back side of fifty and boys weren't allowed to take typing in my school so hunt and peck is all I know, but I'm getting better must be up yo 5-6 words a minute now as long as there short words.

I'm missing the 'writing' on letters m, n, c, a, s, d, e, t, h, l, k, o, i, and parts of u, y, and (,). I'm also missing quite a bit of color off my space bar and mouse pad (I have a laptop) and the 'T' and left arrow buttons are taped on. Oh, I'm also missing the 'number' on the down arrow key
