Todays warmer so I'm swabbing my roosters comb and wattles a 2nd time . It'll relieve the swelling and prevents infection (from the Frostbite) The Vasoline I used the 1st day made a mess but he's too sore to clean up yet. Swabbing plantain on doesn't hurt.

Popped an ice cube in the microwave and warmed it up to get the plantain warm and ended up adding one more. Only took a minute to melt it and go swab it on my roosters comb and wattles. I could feel him relax immediately as I swabbed the warm tea on the damaged tissue. Soon as very inch of his wattles and comb were swabbed I kissed him and set him down. He doesn't like being held.LOl

Between swabbing the rooster and uploading pics from my cell phone I've probably had 5 minutes to get ready and go to the store.Lol.I've got people waiting and gotta run just wanted to say thanks for the info about Frostbite.First rooster I've ever had that got Frostbite !! I bet I don't leave out anymore open containers of water for him to dunk his head in!! ...especially when its blue cold out!!
