Severely curled toes, need assistance.

I use clear shipping tape to flatten curled toes but so far after some great advice havn't had one of my first 7 chicks hatch with this problem. And last year on one chick I didn't have time to tape right after hatch,Had to tape the next day and that chicks toes would not straighten because I waited too long.

We were on a real good run for about the first 40 chicks this year but we have had 6 or 7 in the last 20 that have had to be taped. I thought we had it cured but no such luck.
