Severly swollen leg 6 week old turkey

Seriously injured about 6 weeks old turkey ,had been missing a few hours found in the ditch,there are multiple small wounds ,swelling is severe ,like paper thin skin ,Is there any suggestions, anything I can do to help .Thanks

Paint the "cuts", puncture wounds with Blu-Kote.

The good thing is that turkeys are very resilient to wounds and heal quite well with minimal or no intervention.

Does it feel like there is air under the skin? I ask because it looks like a ruptured air sac, which sounds worse than it is.

If it feels like air in the swelling, make a small jagged cut to release the air. A jagged cut works better than a needle because it takes longer to close giving the air sac time to heal.
