sex link and climate?

I've got both black and red sexlinks and they are very hardy and reliable in the winter. My girls are going on 8 now and still lay well. My 2 favorite flock characters are sexlink hens.

I have managed to get 3 RIR roosters and I have about 20 Barred Rock hens. I plan to primarily be making annual crops of BSL's for my laying hens. I will breed the others as well just for some variety in the flock, but the BSL's are simply the bread & butter layers.
