sex-link Chick question with pictures..

My neighbor dropped these off for me. They came from a large hatchery here in PA. I think they are red sex-links because they only seem to sell two breeds, and they aren't leghorns. Are they male or female, I really have no experience with red sex-links.

I don't think red sexlinks come in a slate color. They could be brown leghorns, just guessing.

I'm pretty sure with sexlinks the pullets are orangish and the cockerels are white.

Oh if that's the case, then these are probably pullets! Whoo hoo, free chicks and pullets at that! He said he'd drop me off some meat chicks too.

If they are pullets (I have no experience with sex-links) you got a great deal! What hatchery did they come from?
