Sex Links Bred together

The chicks will not be sex-linked. Assuming these sex-linked birds were of barred origin crossing, and the male is barred, he will pass it on to chicks of both sexes at a 50% ratio. Not sex-linked in the slightest, and chicks will need to grow out as normal to tell sex.

The reason I want to see a picture is to see if he inherited a silver gene from the barred rock bantam hen. If he did, he will have white or yellowish leakage, and if he didn’t, he’ll only have red leakage.

Also, since he and your hens carry mottling, about 1/4th of the offspring will be mottled.
