Sex-links from Barred Rocks

I was doing a search on BYC. From what I have found, if a BO or RIR rooster is bred to my BR pullets, I would get chicks that could be sexed at birth? With the Orpingtons, is only the Buffs that create sex-links or can it be any color orpington rooster? Are there other roosters I could use also? Also from what I have read, I could not obtain the same type of results using my BR roosters over a different breed of pullet. Is that correct?

You cannot have the barred rooster over anything to get a sexlink-he passes barring to all chicks. You must have the red rooster over barred hens (cuckoo Marans, Barred Rock, Dominique). The usual black sexlink is RIR roo over BR hen.
