Is this a lash egg? If so, what do I do?

I found this. How much do I give? And I assume orally to each hen?

Treat the one who laid the egg. I would not treat all of them.

You have 10%, which is 100 mg/ml
The dose I would give is 15 mg/kg twice a day for 3-5 days

The math is always the same:
Weight in pounds, divide by 2.2 (converts to kg), times dose (mg/kg), divide by mg/ml = the number of ml to give
or
Weight in kilograms, times dose (mg/kg), divide by mg/ml = the number of ml to give.

The math for a five-pound hen:
5 pounds ÷ 2.2 x 15 ÷ 100 = 0.34 ml twice a day for 3-5 days
or
2.27kg x 15 ÷ 100 = 0.34 ml twice a day for 3-5 days

Does that help?

I don't know who laid it. Is the below by Wyorp correct? So for example my 9 lb hen would get .455?

It's given at 10-15 mg/kg. I use the higher dose. @Wyorp Rock's dose is 10 mg/kg. It's not a typo, it's just the lower dose.

The math never lies:
1 pound at 10 mg/kg = 0.045 ml orally twice a day for 3-5 days
1 pound at 15 mg/kg = 0.068 ml orally twice a day for 3-5 days

9 pounds at 10 mg/kg = 0.4 ml orally twice a day for 3-5 days
9 pounds at 15 mg/kg = 0.61 ml orally twice a day for 3-5 days

I gave the lower dose to everyone tonight. I guess how do you decide on the lower one or the higher! Should I give a higher dose in the morning?

Also, is it for 3-5 days then or 5-7? I'm so confused here

At ja-logo-large.png Bird Veterinary, a customer asks:
Good morning Dr Mike, just a quick question. What is the dosage of Enroflox suspension for chickens per lb? I have some roosters with respiratory/sinus issues. Matted eyes (cleaned and applied terramycin) and very stuffy, raspy breathing.
Dr Mike says
7 mg/pound every 12 hours is a commonly looked at dosage.
This product has 100 mg in every ml of the product. As such approximately with this this one 0.07 ml per pound of body weight every 12 to 24 hours.
His recommended dose of 0.07 ml per pound is almost exactly the 15 mg/kg dose that I recommend.

Ok. But I just saw that you said not to treat them all. But I don't know who even laid it so what else can I do? I just gave a first dose to them all.

I use the higher dose because I have conducted extensive research, and the most common dose prescribed by a veterinarian is 15 mg/kg twice daily for 3-5 days.

Where are you getting 5-7 days?

I think I misread the 5-7 somewhere earlier. How will I know if she's cured, besides months going by? Especially not knowing which one it is
