I think we've only had three days so far this year when the wind was less than 20mph gusting 30+ (and quite often double that). Not sure we've had any where it didn't rain at all for a full 24 hours.

Last night when I closed the coop (a bit late ) all five were lined up on the perch/roost that is farther from the door, tails pointing at me and heads away. I didn’t have my phone to take a pic.

Locked them up a bit earlier tonight, but four of the five were in position, with a gap between Trudy and Lil for Boss Hen Buffy when she could finally clock out.

It did it again!
Mostly dry late morning and early afternoon, I start to get ready to go to the field and it pisses down and didn't stop raining until I got home. It was that horrid that when I arrived at the field the chickens were in the coop. That's a couple of hours early assuming they hadn't been in the coop all day.
I ushered them out to eat, after which they marched straight back in.
Obviously they are as impressed with the weather as I am.

We clearly need to swap chickens or something. A few of my lot have taken to going on adventures right across the field. I even saw some droppings on the path at the point where it goes into the next field, where a lot of people let their dogs off the lead, today. Going to need to do something about that.
