Sick 6 year old EE picked on by new chickens, she is doing this because they can sense she is weak. EE was staying inside often, but seemed ok. I bring her inside, and she immeditly drops the act and is infact extremely sick and lethargic. Her comb was pale, and she often closed her eyes and slept in my arms. I wonder if she is picked on by the other chicken and forced to stay awake at night.

She pooped both solid and super liquid-y poops, ALL GREEN or white muck (which leads me to think she is not eating enough and passing bile). I weigh her, and she used to be over 5lbs, and now she is 4.6lbs. Cut on her foot and some other damage, so soaked her feet and gave her some full spectrum anti-biotics.

Still green poops after anti-biotics, but she is doing much better, and moving around with more energy. so I assume it's coccioiosis or coccidia.

I get Corid, and she is on her 3rd oral drench day. I may mix with water to administer more or just put it in water in the future. This stuff seems very harsh, but it's definitely working. She finally poops a few brown poops a day(the brow poops are mushy, so I assume Cecal poop, but still mostly green poops). No more fully wet poops(the kind you see them past on hot days from drinking too much water), like she just skipped meals or something.

Now the white stuff kind of looks yellow at times, and I'm wondering if this could be internal laying, or egg yolk peritonitis?

Should I give her Enrofloxasin if this persists? Or is this too much meds too short of a period?

I think it's EYP because: There was one soft shell egg a few months back. She has not laid eggs for months, but I assume it's because she's old for a chicken/winter. She's a little wobbly and weak, but she has always been oddly uncordinated and a little dumb (hands down my dumbest chicken.).

She is still not eating as much as I would like her to, but she is much better than 3 days ago before corid started. I will have to intergrate her back to the flock soon, it's been too long, and isolate the bully as soon as that happens so she has some peace.

I'm also treating the whole flock with corid in the water just incase anyone else gets it. Most of my hens are on the older side.

Of corse this could also be ovarian cancer, in the early to mid stages. That would explain the weird poops, and her tail is not down, which is a regular thing for EYP chickens.

I'm not sure if I want to take her to a doctors, because my last chicken cost $600(it's probably more expensive now) at the vet and died anyway. If she has cancer, there's not really anything I can do.

Any thoughts or advice are super appreciated!

I would keep up with the corid and especially do the second phase of it—don’t quit before she’s had the full treatment. Then when it is time to reintegrate try to do the see-no-touch method with a wire dog kennel in the run for at least a week. Coccidiosis can cause an infection in the intestines that can slowly kill them and if the corid is working you have likely caught it in time to avoid this.

Isolating a bully can help but sometimes it’s a matter of space and clutter, multiple feeders, etc. How much space do you have in your run, etc? I use multiple feeders especially when integrating and give as much space as possible. Clutter helps to break line of sight so the weaker chickens can still get to food and water without being bullied away from it. Lots of factors at play here and it might not be just a bullying issue. I have a light Brahma who is kind of a jerk unless the rooster is around. When he’s not there (because he free ranges with the other flock during the day and the Brahma’s flock doesn’t like to range that far) she picks on the pullets. When he’s there that nonsense doesn’t happen. I don’t consider her a bully, just a part-time head hen.
