I have done quite a bit of research and have decided that I wanna breed for sex-links. I feel that they are a great choice because they are great layers and I will know for sure what their sex is when they are first hatched( I can't tell girls from boys). I intend on selling them... Is this a good choice to choose to breed for? I know that most people like me are choosy as to what breed they get but I feel that these will sell well because people can buy them sexed and they are great layers. I am getting a lot of other breeds of hens but I don't have the space to accommodate a bunch of roosters so this is what I'm going with..... Any suggestions?

With the blacks, I plan on using Barred Rock female, New Hampshire male, and on the reds I am using Silver Laced Wyandotte female and New Hampshire male

sorry but they will never outlay the comercial product...BUT you can get close if you use Hatchery stock....and you could use the boys as Broilers and butcher them around 24 weeks...

As much as I thought I would never wanna use any as broilers, thats exactly what I am going to do. I guess if I have to much I will share with friends and family. And what do you mean, sorry but they will never outlay the comercial product. Do you mean they won't be as good as the commercial sex links or what?
