I had Sandy and Shadow pegged as my potential pullets, so we're on the same page! Would you be 100% confident at this age? Some of our older hens have HUGE combs and wattles, but it's just that they're so red so young? I wish Millie was a girl, but I'm not optimistic. Lemme see if I have another angle. That's a lotta red comb

Yeah...your Millie is also a cockerel. Only cockerels develop red combs and wattles at a young age. Pullets’ combs and wattles don’t redden until they are almost laying. I am 100% confident that you have 4 cockerels. Sorry! Can you keep one????

The kiddos are outside crying over their favourite cockerels, and vying to keep at least one I'm not sure how much crowing I can handle though, and wouldn't there be a showdown with our Ameraucana roo? He's quite enjoying servicing all of the ladies on his own ...
