Sex of 10 week Light Brahma

If Moose is a hen with those gargantuan feet, pointy saddle and hackle feathers and overall hugeness....thats gonna be a world record Brahma hen lol
As far as feathering out late on Roos, i gotta agree. I find the large/xlarge breed Roos really are behind in the feather department. Have a white Jersey Giant Roo that I feel was half naked and "butt-less" for like 1 month or more before he really started growing out telltale feathers🤣🤣
Moose is a hen! So maybe we're going for that world record!?

I wanted to update this thread. Moose turned out to be, in fact, a hen!! Not a roo despite the popular opinion that she was one.

Noodle and Moose (both light brahmas) looked very different at ten weeks, but they now look very similar and are definitely both hens.

Hope this is helpful to others down the road!

My light brahmas at about 12 weeks. Clearly a big difference in size and comb. I no longer have Stewie, the male but my female, Hedwig is a beauty at 17 weeks. She’s about 4.25 lbs now and near POL.
Good luck with your hens:D

So now they're 16 weeks old. Moose (who a lot of us suspected was a roo) is in the left. Noodle on the right.
