Sex of chicken

I hope this is where I ask questions. I am new and not familiar with the setup. Can hens have spurs? and also my cuckoo maran hen sounds like it is trying to crow. My sister ended up with 5 roosters out of her order of all hens from MyPetChicken and is quite upset. Now I am wondering about my order.

Yes, hens can have spurs. Most, if not all, chicks will have spur bumps and I've had hens that grew 1 1/2 inch wicked spurs. If you post some pics, we can help sort out the boys from the girls.

Yes hens can have spurs. It is more common among games.But I have seen a polish hen with spurs. I have also had hens that would crow.
