Sexinf tuxedo coturnix quails, tips and suggestions

i have two quails (gender and age unknown) they have full feathers...but how to sex before breeding season, do males crow out of breeding season????

Mine crow but not as much. My tuxedos I have to sex by vent (which I am terrible at) , foam, and behavior. You might have to just watch them carefully.

I've had mine for going on a year now and I know one is a roo but I still have no idea what the other one is!

Try seperating them. Usually that will cause the roosters to start crowing.
