Hi, I’m new to raising peafowl, I got these three about 8-9 months ago. I was told they are India blue black shoulder. Thought I had 2 females and 1 male, but now I feel unsure. The more I stare at them the more they seem to look alike. So could someone please let me know what they think? TIA.

I'm not very familiar with peafowl colors or sexing, though I think I heard that it's usually hard to sex them until they're three years old? (I believe they don't mature until they're three either.) How old are they?

@casportpony has peafowl, so I'm tagging her.

Yes, I’ve read that a peacock will not completely mature until 3 years and I believe the hens can start laying eggs at 2 years old.
I’m not completely sure on age, but I know they are coming up on a year.

Thanks for the help!

Yes, my intention was to breed them, so I am happy about the three hens. I just hope I have luck in finding a mature or close to mature male near me.
Thanks for your help.
