Hello chook lovers!

My boys and I are raising chickens for the first time. Unfortunately we can’t keep roosters in the city - and I think we have a few.

Am I right in thinking this is a girl on the left and boys on the right? They are 5 weeks old.

Thanks,

Phoebe

You are correct, I see only 1 pullet. Sorry!
Thanks TheFatBlueCat. I thought so 🥲

We got quite a few extra in case our rooster/hen ratio turned out this way.

Will try and get some pics of my Buff and Blue Orpingtons and post them tomorrow.

Think I have one girl and three boys. Hopefully our little Barny girl will have at least one friend 🤞

I believe 1 girl, 3 boys.

The combs are quite obvious already, but the feather pattern is another giveaway as they grow. Barneys are the slowest maturing breed I've ever kept, so you might wait months for them to crow.

Thank you Chicalina. It’s good to have experienced eyes to help me.
