Sexing 8 week old frizzle

So its been about a month since I've updated so they're sitting at about the 14 week mark. The two face pictures were taken minutes apart, you can see the big difference in colour (these pics are pretty true to colour).

Theres still no crowing and they're still very friendly with my other girls. I know its hard to see the full body pic properly but they aren't easy to get clear pictures from since they move so much. I've been keeping an eye on feather development and their neck and saddle feathers still seem nice and rounded to me (not pointy) so I'm hoping that's a good sign. The lower neck feathers have a bit of dirt in them right now so that's why they might look pointy.

I'm really hoping for an early developing girl here and I know Cochins (which I believe them to be) are sometimes known to do that. If you guys have any tips or other things I need to look out for they would be appreciated.
*please ignore the facial swelling they are coming off a pretty bad respiratory infection and have been quarantined away from my other girls

Has the red comb and wattles just started this week?
The redness started around the 9 week mark, although it was very off and on at that point. Their combs and wattles have been pretty consistently red the last couple weeks unless they are very very calm, although their face switches from red to pink very often.
Ignoring the dirt in the eye this picture was taken last week. As you can see they are considerably pinker here. This happens occasionally but not all the time and I'm am unsure if this is a product of being sick or not since its so inconsistent.

I do believe there is Silkie in the mix here as your little one has a small crest. At this point, I believe he is a cockerel. The redness and size of the wattles at this age would absolutely mean cockerel in a Cochin. Looking at the small crest, there seems to be streamers as you'd see on a Silkie cockerel. The photos are blurry, but I believe I also see saddle feathers.

So they're still looking very much the same for now, but I've managed to track down pics of the dad if it helps. The younger pics aren't properly dated but at a guess they're around the 6-8 week mark.

Also I've been trying to see if they'll crow, I've played videos of young roosters crowing to see if they'll copy and they don't see interested, I've tried this before and it worked with boys I had. In relation to the head poof none of the boys I've seen from him have it but some of the girls do, I think the mixture of silkie, normal feathers and frizzle just gives them a boyish look. The colouring is worrying me a little so I'm not sure if any of you can tell from that.
