Sexing a chick

Hello,
I haven’t cared about the sex of my chicks tell now as I have a rooster already. I got 4 new chicks and one I think is a rooster. Only 4 weeks old and comb is already a good size and waddles are coming out, but as I have never had a lavender Orpington before I am hoping I am wrong and it’s a hen! But I don’t think I am. We don’t have enough hens for two roosters as I’ve read they need about 8 per rooster. We only have 8 hens as of now with out counting my 4 chicks.

:welcome

Unless you vent check, it is really a little soon to determine the sex of a 4 week old chick. They really need more feathers and noticible "buttons" on the inside of each leg where the spur will grow before declaring this chick is a rooster.

That being said its a lovely Lavendar Orpington.

Are all the chicks Orpington? Size by comparison is helpful too.
