Sexing a polish chick?

At what age can you tell the sex of a polish chick? Mine are 4 weeks right now.

Polish are tricky. Some you can sex at six weeks but it usually takes a while to know for sure. Ways to tell are to look at the wattles, crest, or feathering. A hen will have more of a round poof for a crest, no signs of wattles at an early age, and round feathers. Hope this helps!

Yes they can be very to be most accurate 8 to 10 weeks is best.

Normally males have a more spiky rockstar crest than females who have a rounded smooth crest

I was wondering the same thing!! I have 2 that are about 9 weeks old, and they have a more rounded crest, but they're getting wattles already. Sorry, can't post pictures yet. I'm praying that they're both pullets!!!

They're just starting to develop. Within the last 2 weeks.

Males can come in with rounded crest sometimes. Mine looked like a female but had huge wattles by 6 weeks old and when he molted at 10 weeks his spikey hair came in.
