Sexing baby quail? Genetics, feathers...?

I have noticed some of my young quails are feathering up quicker than others. Is this an indicator of sex? I just know that in chickens, girls feather up quicker than boys. Is this the same for Courntix?
Also some are white and some brown. Is this any indicator of sex?
ALSO a lot of my whites have died (weak?) is this because of their genes?

Totally agree JJMR. I'd actually rather they died, then I know who is weak - especially if I'm going to breed them. Nature knows best - only the strongest should survive. I'm not trying to be harsh but I wasn't that disappointed becasue I'd rather the weak ones were weeded out.

SORRY MAMA I HAVE NOTICED NO SEXABLE DIFFERENCE IN FEATHERING WITH ANY GAMEBIRD SPECES

IN COTURNIX I, LIKE MOST, CAN FEATHER SEX THE COLORS THAT ARE SEXABLE ONCE A FEW WEEKS OLD, AND CAN BEER SEX ANY IN BREEDING MODE WITH THE BEST OF THEM, CAN EVEN VENT SEX BREEDING AGE BIRDS.. GOT RING NECK PHEASANTS AND RUFFED PHEASANT SPECES SEXING NAILED DOWN PRETTY GOOD TOO... NONE OF THESE DO I NOTICE THE FEATHER DIFFERENCE LIKE YOU DO IN CHICKEN BABIES WITH THE COVETS.. WITH COTURNIX I HAVE NOTICED A TOTAL HELTER SKELTER FEATHERING WHERE NO BODY IN THE BROODER SEEMS TO BE ON THE SAME FEATHERING OUT CLOCK DISPITE ALL BEING THE SAME AGE OR EVEN COLOR... THEY CAN BE RATHER CHAOTIC WITH FEATHERING FROM MY OBSERVATIONS

Some varieties of whites will feather more slowly then others depending on their genetic make up.
